Shoes: Baby, you're a firework!

Hi guys,
This is my absolute favourite time of the year. We welcomed dozens upon dozens of trick or treaters last night and are having a Halloween party for Wilbur and some of his friends this afternoon. There is a distinct chill in the air, everything is feeling a little bit Christmas-sy and we are going to two different fireworks displays this week. My shoe choice for the month is based on my excitement about the impending fireworks explosions: because these gorgeous sequin print Converse look just like they've been covered in fireworks!

I'm a huge Converse fan. Converse are my go-to casual shoe and when I'm not wearing my beloved ankle boots, I have Converse on my feet. I love these ones in particular because they're so unusual and because, if there is such a thing, they look like a dressy version of the classic Converse hi-top. Someone much cooler than I could definitely get away with wearing these as evening wear: I would like to wear them with skinny jeans and an oversized sweater for super-chic Sundays. I have my fingers on my mouse ready to order these. Are they the most practical Converse I've ever seen? Well, no. But who says that fashion has to be practical!?

Want a pair of your own? These currently have 15% off, meaning you can pick them up for just £60.24.

My favourite rainy day shoes

Hi guys,
Are you as sick of all this rain as I am? All the sunny summer days activities I had planned (preferably whilst wearing flip flops and sundresses) and instead I'm stomping around muddy fields with my hood up and my wellies on. The only silver lining to this is that I actually love my wellies! They're Hunter Originals in classic bottle green which means they go with everything - it also means they match my Levis Made and Crafted parka perfectly!
 photo hunterwellies1_zpsff166b3d.png
 photo hunterwellies2_zpsacbf272a.png
Until I had Wilbur I wasn't really a big fan of mucky outdoorsy activities, but he loves being outside and getting his hands dirty whenever possible. And if he loves it, I love it, so it's outwards-bound for me! Luckily, with my wellies I fit right in! I know you can buy really great wellies elsewhere - I'm also a big fan of the quirky patterned Joules ones, and toyed with getting a pair of those for a while.

In the end though it was the idea of the Hunters and their heritage that stole my heart - Wilbur has a little pair of matching red ones, and (with my encouragement!) Mike is going to get a Black pair and join the club. There is no better feeling than matching my boys as we find muddy puddles to jump in! So maybe all this rain isn't so bad after all.....

Shoes: Perfect Colour Pop Sandals

Hi guys,
As I go off on my holidays tomorrow, this months 'shoe lust' post could only be sandals! I've just packed two pairs in my suitcase, and I've got my espadrilles on my feet. But now I've spent a little time dream-shoe shopping online, I wish I'd bought and packed these gorgeous turquoise colour pop sandals from Betty London instead:
 photo turquoisesandals_zps0452de23.png
I'd never heard of Betty London before, but they could well be a new favourite! At just £34.99, they're amazing value, but you're still getting a leather shoe with a leather sole for your money. I don't wear pleather shoes anyway, but I certainly wouldn't in the summer: it doesn't have the give or the breathability of real leather, meaning you'll end up with sweaty, sore, blistered feet: not a good look!

How great would these beauties look teamed with a long white sun dress and lovely bright red toenails? I love turquoise, and I seem to buy a new piece of turquoise jewellery on every holiday I go on. These shoes would be perfect for pairing with it and showing it off to its full potential.

Have you picked your summer sandals yet? What style have you chosen?

Shoes: Crazy For Kenzo Sneakers

Hi guys,
I'm a sucker for an unusual shoe: I like my footwear to make a statement! So it's easy to see why I'm currently completely obsessed with these Kenzo trainers with the espadrille sole. The colours, the mixed patterns, the flatform-style base: these shoes were just made for the park in the summer!
 photo kenzo_zpsccd24dd2.png
Kenzo shoes are having something of a fashion moment at the mo: I remember lusting after those logo pumps last season (along with everyone else in the country, apparently) and there are some pretty tasty brogues in this season's offerings too. Sports Luxe isn't really a trend that suits my figure or my style, but there's something about these shoes that I just haven't stopped thinking about since I saw them a couple of weeks ago.

If you like this model as much as I do then they can be yours from Spartoo for £309.99. Admittedly it's a lot more than I would usually spend on a pair of shoes, but can you really put a price on style (apart from, obviously, just over £300  a pair!) What do you think? Will these lovelies be making your lust list?

Introducing the Caroline Blomst collection for Deichmann

Hi guys,
I've always had a huge soft spot for Deichmann. Because I grew up in Germany it's the shop my parents used to take me to every season to pick new shoes. Even then I loved shoes, and I loved picking out a new pair from the array of styles and colours. I had a dark raspberry pink pair of T bar pumps I remember stomping around everywhere in! More recently, I've liked the Halle Berry collaboration with the brand so much that i've picked up two pairs: a pair of tan faux suede wedges, and a rich berry coloured court shoe.

Now shoe giant Deichmann have collaborated with uber-blogger Caroline Blomst to bring us a brand new shoe collection just perfect for spring. The capsule collection of seven pairs of shoes is cleverly created so that whether you want shoes for work, play, or Saturday night seductions you'll find something fabulous to wear. The stand out pairs, for me, are the graphic print slippers in a bold monochrome (an absolute bargain at £17.99) and the low pointed strap heels. So I had them sent over so I could give them a closer look:
 photo deichmann2_zpsd5b0742b.jpg
 photo deichmann1_zps3ae54ddb.jpg
The slippers shoe has spent the past couple of years being at the top of the style stakes, and these give the style a hot twist by giving it a pointed toe: not only do point toed shoes make your legs look longer and thinner (a definite bonus) they're also bang on trend, and were seen on the AW13 catwalks across the biggest fashion weeks by designers such as Marc Jacobs, Burberry Prorsum and Mui Mui.

I was surprised by how much I loved the studded pointed toed kitten heels, which are the perfect marriage of elegance and edgy style. I have been lusting over a pair of Valentino Rock studded and buckled shoes that look very similar to these, but of course at more than ten times the price tag: I know where I will be spending my hard earned money!
 photo deichmann3_zps583e8925.jpg
 photo deichmann4_zpsfd9b76c0.jpg
Both pairs look so much better in the flesh than they do in the press shots, and even the photos I've taken don't do them justice. All of the shoes in the collection stick to Blomst's trademark monochrome, and with gorgeous details such as lace panels, buckles, and studs. The shoes are stylish, comfortable (because of course I couldn't resist trying them all on) and seriously affordable. I'm convinced, and I think you will be too.

Want to see the rest of the collection? Then you're in luck! Here it is:
 photo deichmann6_zps6a625737.png
1. Pixel print sneakers, £22.99    2. Pointed multi strap heels, £24.99  3. Peep toe with drop side and metallic heel, £27.99     4. Peep toe lace shoe boot, £27.99 5. Peep toe cut out shoe boots, £27.99

How gorgeous are the high multi strap heels? As soon as I saw them I knew they'd been inspired by Gianvitto Rossi's beautiful multi strap creations, and they're just perfect for teaming with skinny jeans (or leather trousers if you're brave enough) and a soft cropped teddy jumper. Finally, although they're not to my taste, the clever addition of the trainers was a stroke of genius at a time when every blogger and fashionista I know is rocking a pair of Nike hi tops or a utilitarian DKNY yoga shoe: buy these now and you'll wear them all summer long, with no blisters in sight!

The Caroline Blomst collection for Deichmann is available in store and online from today. I predict that these will be selling out fast: particularly the bargain-priced slipper shoes. Which pair do you want to get your hands on first?

Shoes: Come on summer...I want to wear my espadrilles!!

Hi guys,
The weather this week has been so gorgeous that I've dared to leave the house without my coat not once but, wait for it, twice! Admittedly I had a thick jacket on instead but the point is, spring is nearly here! My parents have already started growing all of their summer veggies and herbs so to me, spring has sprung. That means that my interest in boots and winter heels has completely waned and now all I can think about is summer sandals and buttery soft leather pumps.

We go away on our first holiday of the year in 8 weeks time, to Greece, so I've already started thinking about beach shoes too. I've ordered two new pairs of shoes for packing in my suitcase, and the first pair arrived last week:
 photo espadrilles2_zps2e244f12.png
 photo espadrilles1_zpse1a6b634.png
I got these gorgeous espadrilles from Sarenza for a bargain price of less than £20 in the sale. (You can pick them up now for £31) Because they're a cross between an espadrille and a pump, they're perfect for wearing on the beach but will also look fab with light wash jeans for running around the city when the sun is shining. I also really love the floral print of the pumps which looks like Liberty print fabric (it isn't, but it looks like it could be!) and the coral of the trim will tone in perfectly with so much of my summer wardrobe. They're great summer shoes, and I can't wait to wear them.....I'm almost as excited about having these on my feet as I am about feeling that sand between my toes!

Have you got your holidays booked for this year yet? And if you have, have you started shopping for them?

I Heart Flatforms

Hi guys,
I used to say that if I wasn't wearing heels then I didn't feel like me. Well, motherhood has quickly put paid to that foolish notion! Now comfort is key. Luckily, fashion seems to be moving with me because this spring/summer the flatform is still going to be bang on trend: yes, flats are back!
 photo flatforms1_zps2e99329f.png
 photo flatforms3_zpsef3c8e44.png
Image 1: Zoe Jordan SS14.
Image 2: Bodice SS14.

No more do we have to teeter around in stilettos and wonder how our feet will stay in barely-there straps. Instead pared back flat platform shoes are the heels of the day: if even that seems like too much height for you then embellished flat pumps are going to be just as popular.

Looking forward to the next season and feeling inspired by all these comfy but gorgeous shoes, I just ordered two new pairs of flatforms to build my new spring/summer wardrobe around. The sensible part of my brain said I should choose a classic black pair, but the part of my brain that loves shoes opted for these more interesting beauties instead:
 photo flatforms2_zps5a2d9157.png
Vagabond Berlin from Sarenza, £60
Shelly's Sasha from Spartoo, £59.99

I choose the coral pair to wear with skinny jeans in the spring, and the basket sandals to wear with dresses and skirts in the summer. That is officially my on trend footwear for the season sorted! What do you think of my picks, and of the flatform trend? Is it for you, or one that you'll be giving a miss?

Valentine's Day Shoes from Sarenza

Hi guys,
If you didn't know that Valentine's day was a week today already then where have you been? It's like retailers are so desperate to keep the momentum of Christmas spending going, they've created a whole new holiday where you are guilted into spending big money on gifts! Whilst the concept of valentine's day then isn't one that I love, one thing I do love is shoes. So in what will be the final time I mention Valentine's day on the blog this year (I promise!) I present: red shoes!

Sarenza have launched a special Valentine's day hub over on the site. They believe that whether you’re single or in a couple, loved up or not at all, it’s shoes that should be getting your attention this Valentine’s Day! Now you know my attitude (Valentine's day, sh-malentine's day!) but I can't resist an excuse to look at pretty shoes. So here's my picks of the best from the hub:
 photo sarenzavalentines_zps95060a97.png
 photo sarenzavalentine2_zps2cd1c140.png
1.Steve Madden gravityy shoes, £88.90
2. Jeffrey Campbell red suede lita boots, £120
3. Bordello red embellished heels, £140
4. Arian burgandy suede heels, £41.70
5.Steve Madden beasst shoes, £79.99
6. Menbarr red peep toue heels, £84.00

If you are going out for Valentine's day then it's probably the perfect excuse to buy yourself a new pair of shoes: not that I need much encouragement, whatever the occasion! What are you doing for Valentine's day? And what are you wearing? I'd love to know!

Accessories: Pretty in on-trend pastel pink!

Hi guys,
I am a gal that likes her accessories to match. If I'm carrying a black bag then I'm wearing black boots. If I'm wearing red heels then I'm clutching a red clutch...you get the idea! So when my parents bought me this cute-as-ten-buttons pastel pink Betsey Johnson bag for Christmas, I knew I had to find the right pair of shoes to go with it. I couldn't just carry around a pink bag teamed with black boots! Enter these pink suede loafers by Georgia Rose:
Fashion is having a love affair with pastel pink at the moment (it's set to last through Spring too, so pink pieces are definitely worth picking up at sale prices). At first I wasn't sure about it, but i've really come round, and now have a wardrobe full of pastel pink. Even my long winter coat is a marshmallow pink confection! It's a massive contrast to all the black I usually wear. I love the childlike nature of these shoes, which I chose from Sarenza.
They're like the grown up version of something a five year old girl would pick if she was let loose in a shoe shop. But the fact that they're suede and so clearly such well made shoes (they're really great quality) lends them a grown up feel too. The other thing I love about this shoe/handbag combo? The hardware on both is gold (my preferred colour) which means even the detailing matches. I won't be wearing these shoes now, as it's prime boot season, but I can see myself wearing them alot when spring rolls round: teamed with my delicious pink handbag of course!

What do you think about pink for Spring? Have you come around to the pink trend?

Year in Review: My Favourite Shoes of 2013!

Hi guys,
The New Year is the perfect opportunity to reflect on the previous twelve months- so expect a couple of these Year in Review posts!! In 2013 I made some sartorial decisions I was proud of. I also made some decidedly dodgy choices too. It has definitely been the first year I've worn jeans more than I've worn dresses, and flats more than heels. Shoes will always be my first love though (whether they have a heel or not) and here are some of my favourite shoe purchases of 2013:

1. Minna Parrika Bunny Shoes
 photo dadstyle2_zps34094f2c.jpg
I was delighted when Minna Parrika came to Sarenza, and immediately ordered a pair of the sensible but super-cute bunny shoes. On reflection, these are hands down my favourite shoes of 2013 and they get a hell of a lot of wear. Because they're black they go with almost everything, and I've even worn them with opaques and a little floral dress to a low-key wedding!

(The heeled version of these have gone into the sale, and currently have 20% off)

2. Topshop Studded Boots
 photo foxy4_zps4a652a1d.jpg
These were my first shoe and sale purchase of 2013, and a bargain at just £20 from the Topshop sale. Until I got my Sol Sana boots recently, they are the shoes I have worn most in 2013. I love the stud detailing, and they make the most simple outfits (like jeans and blouses-my staple) look a little more interesting.

3. Jonak Summer Sandals
 photo jonak2_zps72f6bb39.jpg
How tan do my feet look in these sandals?! It's enough to make me long for summer (as I stare at my currently very pasty white skin!) I love feeling the air between my toes, so sandal season is a great one for me: and these were my favourite pair from this summer, combining both leopard print and pony skin: two of my favourite things. They were also endlessly comfortable, meaning I wore them all day without so much as a twinge in my feet. Result!

4. Heart Cut Out Detailings
 photo park1_zps5fc288e2.jpg
Mike calls these suede Mellow Yellow shoes my hippy shoes! I suppose they do have a slightly 'crunchy' feel: they remind me of the school shoes I used to wear in the nineties! I'm a big fan of Mellow Yellow shoes, which cleverly combine sensible shoes with unusual detailing: and the shoes are always great quality too.

5. And Finally, A Sneaky Pair of Heels!
 photo wilburchristening2_zps83bb641a.jpg
Finally, I had to throw these in, because they are the only pair of heels that have had any wear in 2013! These Steve Madden heels surprisingly comfortable, and I have worn them to Wilbur's and both of my neice's Christenings. Because they are built up so much at the front it doesn't feel like you are teetering on heels: and I have such happy memories of wearing these shoes!

Could you pick your favourite shoes from 2013? And if you could, which shoes would you pick? I'd love to hear your choices!

New Season: My Choice of A/W13 Winter Boots

Hi guys,
It's that time of the year again and one of my favourite things to hit the shops for: It's winter boot shopping time! This year I have been seriously greedy because I've decided that I want three new pairs of boots. I've already got two pairs, so there's just one pair left to find. As usual I hit my virtual shoe shop of choice, and headed to Sarenza:
photo winterboots3_zpsabe7b48f.jpg photo winterboots4_zps56019835.jpg I went for the Vagabond Grace heeled ankle boots (£79.99) for my slightly smarter boots that I can pair with skirts and dresses. Although they're simple, these are by far the best boots I have ever owned and I love the way they look. The fact that it's like walking on a cushion helps too! They have a great slightly grungy '90s feel that really appealed to me. I'm already dreading the day I wear these boots through: I may have to buy a spare pair just in case anything ever happens to these ones!
photo winterboots1_zpsee46541a.jpg photo winterboots2_zps71c7deed.jpg For my throwing on and wearing with jeans daytime boots, I went for the Melvin and Hamilton Susan boots in black (£119.90). I was attracted to these because of their rainbow elastic and because of their slightly masculine feel. These boots look incredible with skinny jeans but if I'm being realistic they don't really look good with anything else: they are definitely not dress boots! I am also on the look out for a rich tan pair of ankle boots (yes, more ankle boots. I'm nothing if not consistent) but haven't spotted my dream pair quite yet: there's still time!

Have you been shopping for your winter boots yet? And what style have you gone for? I'd love to hear all about your choices!

The Summer Sales: Winter boots at Sarenza

Hi guys,
The Sarenza sale is now in it's second month, and it's still going strong: in fact, if anything, the discounts just keep getting bigger! The thing I like most about the Sarenza sale though is that, unlike other stores and websites, is that it's not just the summer stock that's been discounted. You'll also find amazing discounts on pumps, wintery heels, and even boots. So if you're organised and thinking about next winter, you could get an absolute steal on your winter boots if you buy them now in, ahem, July!

I like to be organised, and my taste in winter boots leans towards the classic anyway, so picking up sale bargains works perfectly for me. Regardless of your tastes, or the kinds of boots you like, I think they have something for everyone. Here are my picks of the best boots available in the sale right now: photo sarenzaboots_zps0fbb2da4.png Emu Australia floral boots. Was £200, now £100. Buy them here.
Camel Georgia Rose biker boots. Was £95, Now £38. Buy them here.
Jeffrey Campbell pink studded boots. Was £160, Now £64. Buy them here.
Mustang cowboy boots. Was £70 Now £33.60. Buy them here.
Tan heeled ankle boots. Was £140 Now £56. Buy them here.
Sweetie wellington boots. Was £31 Now £18.60. Buy them here.

So what do you think? Am I a savvy bargain hunter, or absolutely mental for thinking about next winter when the sun is shining so brightly? And will you be checking out next seasons boots this July?

Shoes: Rainbow Striped Boots for Wet Summers!

Hi guys,
I know it's summer and we should all be padding around in our flip flops. But realistically, with all this rain we've been having, the ideal pair of summer shoes right now is a pair of ankle boots. I have had my black studded ankle boots on nearly every day for the past couple of weeks. They go with everything, but they don't really feel too summery. But luckily, ankle boots don't have to be wintery: you can buy summer ankle boots too! I love these rainbow striped boots from United Nude and they would just be perfect for wearing right now. photo unitednude_zpsbfa371ee.png They're made from a mix of leather and textile, and the low heel means you could wear them all day without any foot discomfort: the holy grail of shoes! I really like United Nude shoes: they're always really unusual, and wearing a pair is such an easy way to make a statement.

The Spartoo sale is still going strong, so these shoes have 20% off: reduced from £145.99 to £116.79. If you want a pair of your own you can buy them here. I have an orange chiffon dress from Topshop that these would look amazing with. They'd also look great with basic silk vests and jeans: they'd make a really simple outfit like that look really on trend.

What shoes are you wearing in all this horrible summer rain? Are you back in your winter boots like me, or are you risking getting wet toes in your flip flops because, godammit, it's July! I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Sale shopping: Embellished jelly sandals from Primark

Hi guys,
The summer sales are popping up everywhere: today I got two gorgeous dresses from Oasis (pictures to follow) and a cheapy top from Peacocks (because I have no summer clothes for my holiday!) . But my biggest bargain purchases of the day were from Primark: two pairs of embellished jelly shoes for just £3 a pair.

They shoes came in five different colours with five different animal embellishments. Black or yellow with a bumble bee , coral with a toucan, mint green with a butterfly, and neon pink with a flamingo. I got the yellow ones purely because they didn't have the black in my size, and I love insects, and the coral ones because my bikini is coral, and they'll be perfect for schlepping around the pool in: photo jellysandals2_zps60daea25.jpg photo jellysandals1_zps35a45d44.jpg
photo jellysandals4_zps15ba32cf.jpg photo jellysandals3_zps1b7b11df.jpg Thanks to Melissa shoes, jelly shoes are hugely popular at the moment. And although normally I will only wear leather shoes, they're surprisingly comfortable and perfect for wearing around swimming pools and beaches because they wipe clean and dry so quickly. I currently have my toenails painted black, so they bumble bee sandals look incredibly effective against them at the moment - I'll be wearing them with skinny jeans and a silky black tee tomorrow.

Have you had any sale bargains so far? And are there any summer sales you're looking forward to starting? I always like to keep an eye out for the Topshop and River Island summer sales: perfect for when you're taking sunny holidays later in the year!

Summer sales: Pick up a bargain with Sarenza!

Hi guys,
When I got the email saying that the Sarenza summer sale had started, my stomach turned over a little in excitement. After all, the only thing more exciting than shoes is sale shoes! So I trawled through the site checking out all the amazing pretty summer shoes available at discounted prices (when there's still so much of the summer left!) and picked out some of my favourites/the biggest bargains. Here are my choices: photo sarenzasale-1_zps7c950142.png Ash Engima leopard print boots (60% off). Were £216 to £86.40
Ravel colour block wedges (50% off) Were £80 now £40
Peach Mysuelly heels (50% off) Were £236 now £118
Neon pink and beige Mysuelly flats (50% off) Were £236 now £118
Irregular Choice heels (50% off) Were £119 to £59.50
Paul and Betty neon lips heels (50% off) Were £216 to £108
Camper white sandals (50% off) £76 to £38
Jonak tan booties (50% off) Were £71 to £35.50
Brown chocolate Schubar sandals (50% off) Were £39 to £19.50

I think they're a little high for me, but I'm giving serious consideration to those colour block wedges from Ravel: they're just perfect for summer and I have an orange dress they would look fabulous with. Although it's not so good a look when I wobble and fall off them! The second pair I love (and the obvious choice for me) are the Paul and Betty lip heels: Everyone needs a nude heel in their shoe wardrobe armoury, but these are a quirky and unusual way of wearing them. I just can't resist!

Sarenza have also had a site redesign in the past couple of weeks: the design is now more funky and streamlined. But more importantly, it's now compatible to be used easily on your phone and tablet: dangerous for me as it means I can shop for shoes on the move. Gulp!

Shoes: Beaded sandals for sunny weekends

Hi guys,
It's time for a collective hurrah for the sunny weekend! If you're in the UK you'll agree that this weather has been a long time coming! We're headed to visit my folks for the day, and I will be taking Wilbur to the beach: an occasion that requires a simple, casual outfit. And of course, the perfect shoes! Which is why I'll be wearing these ones: photo edensandals_zps5c0d5f80.jpg photo edensandals2_zps288726a1.jpg These gorgeous Eden sandals cost just £52 and you can get a pair of your own right here. I was immediately attracted by the mix of the turquoise and orange beads: they have a lovely bohemian feel. Like you got them when you were on a far-flung exotic summer holiday. (There's no need to tell anyone you got them online, not in a dusty street market!)

I plan on teaming them with a simple jersey maxi dress and a floral chiffon kimono. Simple, beachy, and comfortable enough to sit on the beach building sandcastles in: perfect!

What are your plans for the weekend? Are you doing anything nice? And will you be wearing fabulous shoes whilst you do it?

Shoes: Comfort soles for the soul!

Hi guys,
When it comes to weddings, parties, and anything that involves drinking cocktails, I am definitely a heel girl. But when it comes to everyday summer days I prefer foot comfort! Summer to me means picnics in the park, strolls along the beach, and walking everywhere: why drive when you can feel the sun on your shoulders?

With that in mind I want sandals that look good but are so comfortable that I'm not thinking about my feet whilst I'm enjoying the rare British summer. Enter my latest picks from Sarenza: these comfort sole 'soft sole' Clarks sandals with their stud detailing. photo clarkssarenza1_zps5f46d4e4.jpg photo clarkssarenza2_zps43ef33e0.jpg I always associate comfort sole shoes with old ladies on buses wearing pleated skirts and pulling shopping trolleys. But these aren't those shoes.

Yes, they're so comfortable you can walk in them forever without any rubbing or blisters. But they also look great: the on trend stud detailing is perfect with the black leather and metallic gold combo. And because of my obsession with gold jewellery they go with everything in my wardrobe, making them the perfect shoes!
 photo clarkssarenza3_zps2a808631.jpg photo clarkssarenza4_zps6c99b9d1.jpg
Have you bought your new summer sandals yet? And have you gone for style, comfort, or a little bit of both?

Shoes: In praise of Georgia Rose

Hi guys,
Yesterday I went out for lunch and, wanting to add a pop of colour to my outfit, immediately added my neon panel boots by Georgia Rose. They are some of my favourite boots, and I wear them all the time. I have several pairs of Georgia Rose shoes: my favourites are eye-catching navy blue brogues covered in silver stars: they always get plenty of attention whenever I wear them. And yet, almost no one who admires them (it happens a lot!) has heard of the brand that makes them: which is why this is a post in praise of Georgia Rose! photo winterboots3.jpg
Georgia Rose is a French brand, which is probably why Sarenza stock so many of their styles (Sarenza is a French brand too). Here comes the blurb: "The Georgia Rose woman has is dynamic, feminine, ambitious and glamorous and before anything else, she is contemporary with a passion for fashion. Because Georgia Rose knows that life is made up of a thousand moments, the brand has created shoes for every occasion. A fantastic relationship between quality and price, a fantastic range and even a bags and handbags line: Georgia Rose is going to become your new best friend!"

Because they focus on comfort as well as being fashion-forward, Georgia Rose is fast becoming one of my favourite brands: I like a shoe I can wear all day without my feet aching, and these definitely tick that box!

Here are some of my picks of the very best Georgia Rose shoes available for this Spring/Summer:
photo georgiarose1_zps58f99cf0.png Pink polka dot loafers, £111.
Green and yellow brogues, £74.40 (Currently 40% off)
Stappy tan sandals, £60.90 (Currently 30% off)
Yellow velvet wedge sandals, £72.10 (Currently 30% off)
Brown and gold sandals, £111.
Floral platform heels, £111.

I saw the brown and gold sandals for the first time when I was putting this post together, and now I'm slightly obsessed with them! I know having that thick ankle strap will make my legs look shorter, but I like them so much I think I'm going to have to have them anyway. And those yellow wedges just scream summer: I love yellow teamed with black, so with a little black cotton dress these could be yet another summer staple. My final favourites (I have so many) are the pretty pink loafers. I have three pairs of slipper-type shoes already but I can't get enough of them: as comfy as ballet pumps but much more on trend: what's not to love?

Have you tried any shoes from Georgia Rose, and if so which ones? What do you think of the brand? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Shoes: Breaking out my Vivienne Westwood x Melissa heels!

Hi guys,
As soon as I saw these Vivienne Westwood x Melissa heels on the Sarenza website, I knew I had to have them. I just loved the vibrant green colour and the cutesy pink contrasting bow. They aren't the easiest colour to match to, and I don't have loads of things in my wardrobe that will go with them (unless you count black, of course. I have plenty of black!) but I just couldn't resist!

I think with skinny jeans and a simple white blouse or shell top they'll look great for lazy al fresco lunches, or evenings in the local beer garden. I'm also now on the look out for a tea dress in that exact shade of green, so that I'll have a frock I can wear with them too!

This particular style also comes in black and white, orange and pink, and pink and blue. You can check them all out and get your own pair here.

I can't wait for the weather to brighten up a little more so I can take these babies out for a spin: I'm looking forward to showing you an outfit post with them!
