Shoes: Mellow yellow with Missoni

Hi guys,
Yellow shoes? Its not something I would normally ever consider putting on my feet! But I am slightly in love with these gorgeous yellow Missoni heels. I stumbled across them whilst hunting for a pair of yellow court shoes to wear to my sisters Disney themed fancy dress hen 'do (I'm going as Minnie Mouse) and although they're not right for my costume, don't they look amazing? These shoes literally scream summer to me, and they would be perfect for jazzing up a plain dress for a wedding or any other summer event.

I love Missoni because I love Missoni print. It's iconic, immediately recognisable, and it never goes out of fashion. I have a Missoni scarf I bring out winter after winter, and it does with everything. Yellow is also such a great happy colour, so why not wear it on your feet?! It would make you feel cheerful everytime you looked down!

Even better? You can pick these shoes up for £282.09 (reduced from £433.99) at the minute, because the Spartoo sale is now on!

Shoes: My New Chunky Black Sandals

Hi guys,
I've made a slightly biased choice for this month's pick of the shoes, because I've actually already been and bought these gorgeous chunky Jonak sandals, and I'm delighted with them! Yes, I know they're ugly. But ugly shoes are a key trend for this summer: the chunkier the sole the better. In fact, these remind me a little of the chunky buckled sandal/shoes on the catwalk at Proenza Schouler. I'm not sure I'll be going the whole nine yards and wearing these with a girly frock, but I do think there's a time and a place for an ugly shoe, and these are mine:

 photo jonaksandals_zps11390e06.png
I've had a couple of pairs of Jonak shoes before so I knew they'd be comfortable, and they definitely haven't disappointed so far. Although, word of warning: the black leather stained the back of my feet and it took days to get it off!

Dirty feet aside, these are my new go-to shoes for throwing on with my rolled up jeans and sheer chiffon blouses. Want to get your hands on a pair of your own? You can pick them up for £74.99. When you think about that on a cost-per-wear basis, I'm pretty sure I'm now only paying around 10p every time I put them on my feet!

Are you on board with the chunky, ugly shoe trend? What will you have on your feet this summer?

Shoes: Perfect Colour Pop Sandals

Hi guys,
As I go off on my holidays tomorrow, this months 'shoe lust' post could only be sandals! I've just packed two pairs in my suitcase, and I've got my espadrilles on my feet. But now I've spent a little time dream-shoe shopping online, I wish I'd bought and packed these gorgeous turquoise colour pop sandals from Betty London instead:
 photo turquoisesandals_zps0452de23.png
I'd never heard of Betty London before, but they could well be a new favourite! At just £34.99, they're amazing value, but you're still getting a leather shoe with a leather sole for your money. I don't wear pleather shoes anyway, but I certainly wouldn't in the summer: it doesn't have the give or the breathability of real leather, meaning you'll end up with sweaty, sore, blistered feet: not a good look!

How great would these beauties look teamed with a long white sun dress and lovely bright red toenails? I love turquoise, and I seem to buy a new piece of turquoise jewellery on every holiday I go on. These shoes would be perfect for pairing with it and showing it off to its full potential.

Have you picked your summer sandals yet? What style have you chosen?

Shoes: Crazy For Kenzo Sneakers

Hi guys,
I'm a sucker for an unusual shoe: I like my footwear to make a statement! So it's easy to see why I'm currently completely obsessed with these Kenzo trainers with the espadrille sole. The colours, the mixed patterns, the flatform-style base: these shoes were just made for the park in the summer!
 photo kenzo_zpsccd24dd2.png
Kenzo shoes are having something of a fashion moment at the mo: I remember lusting after those logo pumps last season (along with everyone else in the country, apparently) and there are some pretty tasty brogues in this season's offerings too. Sports Luxe isn't really a trend that suits my figure or my style, but there's something about these shoes that I just haven't stopped thinking about since I saw them a couple of weeks ago.

If you like this model as much as I do then they can be yours from Spartoo for £309.99. Admittedly it's a lot more than I would usually spend on a pair of shoes, but can you really put a price on style (apart from, obviously, just over £300  a pair!) What do you think? Will these lovelies be making your lust list?

Shoes: Come on summer...I want to wear my espadrilles!!

Hi guys,
The weather this week has been so gorgeous that I've dared to leave the house without my coat not once but, wait for it, twice! Admittedly I had a thick jacket on instead but the point is, spring is nearly here! My parents have already started growing all of their summer veggies and herbs so to me, spring has sprung. That means that my interest in boots and winter heels has completely waned and now all I can think about is summer sandals and buttery soft leather pumps.

We go away on our first holiday of the year in 8 weeks time, to Greece, so I've already started thinking about beach shoes too. I've ordered two new pairs of shoes for packing in my suitcase, and the first pair arrived last week:
 photo espadrilles2_zps2e244f12.png
 photo espadrilles1_zpse1a6b634.png
I got these gorgeous espadrilles from Sarenza for a bargain price of less than £20 in the sale. (You can pick them up now for £31) Because they're a cross between an espadrille and a pump, they're perfect for wearing on the beach but will also look fab with light wash jeans for running around the city when the sun is shining. I also really love the floral print of the pumps which looks like Liberty print fabric (it isn't, but it looks like it could be!) and the coral of the trim will tone in perfectly with so much of my summer wardrobe. They're great summer shoes, and I can't wait to wear them.....I'm almost as excited about having these on my feet as I am about feeling that sand between my toes!

Have you got your holidays booked for this year yet? And if you have, have you started shopping for them?

Shoes: A Last Hurrah for Summer!!

Hi guys,
I've been bombarding you with images of new autumn/winter shoes and clothes over the last week, but actually, summer isn't over yet! And I definitely don't want to wish away this last month of precious sunshine, or start wearing my boots when I could still be feeling the air between my toes. In fact, I'm wearing a summer frock and flip flops as I'm typing. So in honour of that, here are my favourite sale sandals currently on Spartoo: my last hurrah to summer!
photo rupertsandersonheels_zpsd9cec534.png These incredible Rupert Sanderson wedges are currently a whopping 70% off. Instead of costing you £508.99 you could pick them up for £152.70: it's a damn bargain for a beautifully made shoe from a British designer! I just love the combination of colours: brown, tan, orange and turquoise all complement each other perfectly and they all scream summer (they also have the added bonus of looking incredible with a tan). I have a soft spot for Rupert Sanderson, in part because my office used to be right behind his London store, so I walked past the windows lusting after the shoes nearly every day. These shoes look like they've been worn on holiday and been scuffed from walking on the beach. They make you want to head to an expensive beach resort, team them with an oversized straw hat, and strut your stuff.

Fun fact: Did you know that every pair of Rupert Sanderson shoes in named after a daffodil? This particular model is the Nissa. You'd only get that kind of random quirkiness from a British shoe designer!

What do you think of these shoes? Would you wear them, and what would you wear them with? My vote goes for floaty maxi dress: let's keep summer alive whilst we can!

Shoes: My perfect summer feet!

Hi guys,
Well I'm going to state the obvious and say that it is scorching!! I am currently alternating my time between hiding inside in the shade (the perfect time to go to an air conditioned shopping centre!) and sitting under a parasol in the garden with my feet in the paddling pool - ahh, the joys of freelancing!

Keeping my feet comfortable in this weather is a daily challenge: not glamorous I know, but my feet tend to swell in the heat. I still want to look good though (obviously!) so I need sandals that look amazing paired with simple cotton sundresses, shorts and leggings, but still keep my feet comfortable and give them room to expand at will! I have found the perfect solution: these super-sexy Jonak sandals from Sarenza.
photo jonak1_zpsd33248b1.jpg photo jonak2_zpsd4aa8db7.jpg photo jonak3_zpsc89481cb.jpg These are the most comfortable leather sandals I have ever owned. The leather sole is slim and flexible and the pony skin leather upper is so soft: it's like wearing butter on your feet! Because the straps are adjustable and the sides are open it doesn't matter whether my feet are swollen (there's that glamour again!) or their normal size: the shoes still feet comfortable and look great. I promise you, these are like the holy grail of summer shoes!

What are you wearing to keep cool in the heat? And do you have any tips for look sleek and put together when inside you feel like you're melting? I'd love to hear them! I'm not sure I'm keeping my composure at all this week!

Shoes: Quirky Leopard Print Heels!

Hi guys,
Largely due to the popularity of Jeffrey Campbell's mega-heels with fashion bloggers around the world, quirky and unusual shaped sandals are very much 'in!' I've got a pair of the Jeffrey Campbell rocking horse shoes, and they get compliments everywhere I wear them. But I have a not-very-secret, secret about them: they just aren't that comfortable!

These platform sandals, despite their height and the kinky heel, do look like they'd be comfortable though. I think it's because of the buttery soft leather upper and the adjustable ankle strap. I'd never heard of the brand Casadei before, but when I fell in love with these shoes I did a little research. Launched in 1958 in Italy, Casadei is a family-owned company that's proud of it's values and roots. I love Italian leather shoes, and the styles are a perfect blend of classic and glamourous.
 photo spartoonew_zpscd9d7323.png
I admit that I can imagine Nancy Dell'Olio wearing these, but wouldn't they look amazing with a tan and bright red toe nails? Team with jeans or a little black dress for that little bit of WAG glamour we all aspire to every now and again (Even if we don't admit it!)

The additional discounts on the Spartoo sale means that these shoes are now a whopping 70% off: reduced from a huge £526.99 to a much more affordable £158.10. If you want a pair of your own you can buy them here.

Shoes: Rainbow Striped Boots for Wet Summers!

Hi guys,
I know it's summer and we should all be padding around in our flip flops. But realistically, with all this rain we've been having, the ideal pair of summer shoes right now is a pair of ankle boots. I have had my black studded ankle boots on nearly every day for the past couple of weeks. They go with everything, but they don't really feel too summery. But luckily, ankle boots don't have to be wintery: you can buy summer ankle boots too! I love these rainbow striped boots from United Nude and they would just be perfect for wearing right now. photo unitednude_zpsbfa371ee.png They're made from a mix of leather and textile, and the low heel means you could wear them all day without any foot discomfort: the holy grail of shoes! I really like United Nude shoes: they're always really unusual, and wearing a pair is such an easy way to make a statement.

The Spartoo sale is still going strong, so these shoes have 20% off: reduced from £145.99 to £116.79. If you want a pair of your own you can buy them here. I have an orange chiffon dress from Topshop that these would look amazing with. They'd also look great with basic silk vests and jeans: they'd make a really simple outfit like that look really on trend.

What shoes are you wearing in all this horrible summer rain? Are you back in your winter boots like me, or are you risking getting wet toes in your flip flops because, godammit, it's July! I'd love to hear your thoughts.
