Shoes: Baby, you're a firework!

Hi guys,
This is my absolute favourite time of the year. We welcomed dozens upon dozens of trick or treaters last night and are having a Halloween party for Wilbur and some of his friends this afternoon. There is a distinct chill in the air, everything is feeling a little bit Christmas-sy and we are going to two different fireworks displays this week. My shoe choice for the month is based on my excitement about the impending fireworks explosions: because these gorgeous sequin print Converse look just like they've been covered in fireworks!

I'm a huge Converse fan. Converse are my go-to casual shoe and when I'm not wearing my beloved ankle boots, I have Converse on my feet. I love these ones in particular because they're so unusual and because, if there is such a thing, they look like a dressy version of the classic Converse hi-top. Someone much cooler than I could definitely get away with wearing these as evening wear: I would like to wear them with skinny jeans and an oversized sweater for super-chic Sundays. I have my fingers on my mouse ready to order these. Are they the most practical Converse I've ever seen? Well, no. But who says that fashion has to be practical!?

Want a pair of your own? These currently have 15% off, meaning you can pick them up for just £60.24.

Shoes: My Bank Holiday Pick!

Hi guys,
It's nearly the bank holiday! And for most of us that means fun days out, long walks and (if the weather is on our side) a sunny BBQ or two! Mike, Wilbur and I are visiting my parents for the weekend so we will be enjoying a mix of walks to the park and long afternoons building sandcastles on the beach. So what will I have on my feet? Well for me it has to be practical, stylish, gorgeous Converse!
photo goldconverse_zps6cb73762.png My Converse are peach, but I am seriously lusting after these incredible gold ones! They're all leather and have a gold and white tie dye pattern all over them. Even the eyelets are gold: and you know how I feel about anything gold! Love it! Converse teamed with skirts or dresses isn't the look for me: I tried it in my teens, but now I think it's too grungy and too scruffy. It's a classic and preppy combination but I prefer Converse hi tops teamed with skinny jeans and simple shirts or blouses: there's no better casual outfit when you don't want to think about what you're going to throw on and you're having an active and informal day out. With these on my feet though, I'd still be able to show off my fashion credentials!

Want a pair of your own? Well they're a little more expensive than normal Converse but you can have a pair of these for £79.99. You'll find them here.

We just booked a holiday for the three of us to Paris/Disneyland Paris in six weeks time: I will definitely be getting these to wear for the occasion! What do you think?!

Welcome to the Converse family!

Hi guys,
When Sarenza posted a picture of their new baby Converse range on their Facebook wall, I immediately knew I had a have a pair for the bump. Then, when I started looking at all of the Converse available on the website (and there really are loads!) I decided, hell, why not get a pair for every member of the family?!

Mike is a fairly casual kind of chap, so buying him trainers isn't a hard task. Instead of standard Converse, I opted for a wider and softer pair that looked similar to the Vans he usually sports. The Verdict: He really likes them and he's wearing them loads, which is testimony enough!

Finding a pair I really liked for myself was a little more difficult, because I already have a silver pair of Converse that fill my casual shoe needs. So I decided to stick with my shiny space man Converse, and get myself a pair of summer boots (to be showcased in a later post) instead!

Here's the final selections:

Baby Converse, Sarenza
Womens Converse my own: there is this similar pair from Sarenza
Mens Converse, Star Player in Olive, Sarenza

The baby shoes come in a beautful little box, so if you're looking for a gift for a new mum/baby that's a little more fashionable than a standard teddy bear, these would be my first pick. That I'm a shoe addict is a well-documented fact, but I really am a sucker for teeny tiny little shoes! I predict that the bump is going to end up having a bigger shoe collection than me - and that's saying something.

Sarenza shoes for everyone, and we're officially a family of Converse fans!
