Last Chance: Up to 70% off in the final French Connection clearance sale

Hi guys,
I've been very lapse with my sale shopping updates, but I just couldn't resist a peak at the final clearance sale from French Connection. With discounts of up to 70% there are some incredible bargains to be had across both fashion and home ware.

I love French Connection: it is one of my go to shops for evening wear, but their casual day wear is gorgeous too and perfect for smartening up my mummy act! Here are some picks from the best of the final clearance sale online:
 photo frenchconnection1_zpspqwwyi2s.png
Wilderness collar shirt (was £75 now £25)
Paisley crepe party dress (was £120 now £36)

 photo frenchconnection2_zps2sxwun8o.png
French frou frou dress (was £160 now £48)
Misty mountain top (£65 to £32.50)

 photo frenchconnection3_zpstygogec0.png
Romeo stretch fitted jacket (was £145 now £101.50)
Atlantic wave flared dress (was £190 now £57)

The thing I most like about all of these pieces (and a lot of the French Connection collections) are that they are relatively seasonless: I tend to wear the same clothes all year round, adding layers rather than introducing a whole new wardrobe. (with the exception of the height of the summer, when staying cool becomes the order of the day and anything goes!) But you could definitely buy all of the picks above and wear them well into spring: a much smarter way of sale shopping than buying a coat or boots that will only get a month's worth of wear!

I especially love the vibrant red shrunken blazer. A blazer with jeans and a crepe tee or chiffon blouse is pretty much my go to outfit: a wear a variation of it everyday, all year round. This seasonless piece could be worn for work wear, casual wear, or could even be thrown over a frock for laid back evening wear: definitely what I'd pick if I could only choose one thing!

Have you had any sales bargains? Are there any shops you've found have been incredible this sales season?

The ASOS Sale has Started: On Your Marks!

Hi guys,
Just a little post to say that the ASOS sale has started: and I've already ordered my first 'January sales' frocks! Long gone are the days when you had to wait for Christmas day to pass before the sale shopping could begin: in fact, if you're really savvy you could even wait until the last minute for the sales to start before you do your Christmas shopping! Here are a few picks of some of the things I've got my eye on from the sale (and a couple of the things I've already ordered!) After Christmas itself, shopping the January sales is one of my favourite times of the year:
 photo asos_zps75f0c76a.png
Floral smock dress, was £36 now £14.
Sheer black dress, was £35 now £17.50.
Check skater dress, was £42 now £21.
Angel midi bodycon dress, was £100 now £50.
Full skirted embroidered dress, was £325 now £195.
Floral maxi dress, was £65 now £39.

If you don't have your New Year's Eve outfit organised yet, then it's definitely worth checking out: there's still time to order now for NYE delivery!

I've got just one more post to share with you (full of Wilbur in all of his Santa-y glory) before Christmas!'Tis the season and it's very nearly the big day: I'm already home at my parents and indulging in a host of festive treats!

Daily Wear: Sale shopping at Westfield London

Hi guys,
On Thursday I went for my final sales shopping trip to Westfield London: and there were still plenty of bargains to be had! It was also my first trip into London with Wilbur, and I would say it was a very successful trip all round! I love Westfield, so it was great to be shopping there again: regional shopping to good, but you really can't beat London shopping, can you?

I hit up all of the usual high street stores, and after toying with a Balmain-style jacket in Zara, I picked up this coat, reduced from £95 to £50 in Topshop:
 photo westfield3-5_zps26e3081b.jpg photo westfield4-2_zps6d9f2276.jpg photo westfield1-5_zpsb1d66c30.jpg photo westfield2-5_zps122b8f60.jpg
Coat and boots, Topshop. Jeans, Miss Selfridge. Hat, Urban Outfitters sample sale. Satchel, car boot sale.

I fell in love with the super-soft fur and the pleats at the back. There's a lot of fabric in this coat (it's soo heavy!) so it was a damn bargain! I also picked up a dress and some towels in Debenhams and two Little Marc Jacobs outfits for Wilbur. Westfield London hands down has the best selection of children's clothes shops I have ever seen: definitely worth the drive down just to dress the little man. And definitely worth it for my new coat: I love it!

Have you had any final sales bargains this weekend? If you're nearby and looking for something to do, I heartily recommend a trip to Westfield London. I'm hoping to get down again before the sales are over: I didn't get to check out nearly as many of the stores as I wanted!!

Shoes: The perfect studded boots from Topshop

Hi guys,
Am I allowed to change my mind and have a new favourite purchase from the sales? Because if I am, it would definitely be these studded boots from Topshop:
photo foxy4_zpsca4bb649.jpg photo studboots2_zps2a661e77.jpg photo studboots1_zpsf187afeb.jpg And they were a serious bargain! The original price was £80. They were reduced to £50, and having tried them on I decided to snap them up straight away. Then, when I got to the till I discovered they'd been reduced again and I ended up paying just £30 for these babies: you wonder if that even covers the cost of the leather!

It just goes to show that even though the sales are dwindling down, it's definitely worth popping in to some of your favourite shops to see what they have left and further reduced: you could be pleasantly surprised.

Here are some of the best sale offers still on right now:
Debenhams Blue Cross Sale -Up to 70% off (also available online)
Boots 75% off all Christmas gift sets
Matalan 70% off (also available online)
Warehouse 70% off
Topshop: Further reductions (discounts vary)

These boots are going to look great teamed with my gold studded leather jacket. And the best thing is, they look just as good when they're worn with tights and skirts as they do with jeans and trousers. Could they be a contender for the crown of my new favourite boots? It's too early to tell. But lets just say my beloved H by Hudson boots should sleep with one eye open....

Matalan sale: Buy now, wear all spring

Hi guys,
When shopping the sales it's easy to fall into the trap of buying chunky winter coats and sequins perfect for Christmas: no doubt bargains, but not exactly sensible purchases for the warmer months that will be here before you know it.

For obvious reasons, you don't see a lot of spring/summer clothes in the January sales. So imagine my surprise to find these fully lined jersey blazers in the Matalan sale reduced from £25 to just £5: Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket
I picked up the jersey grey and pastel green versions because I can't resist grey marl, and because when spring arrives, pastels are always in fashion. If these colours don't float your boat though, my local store also had the same jacket available in electric blue, red, fuchsia, burgundy, aubergine and black: all £5 regardless of the colour you chose!

So what should you look for when trying to find bargains for next season in the winter sales?
- Well, the first thing to look for is lighter colours: anything in pastels, white, nautical-style stripes and bright flouro colours is always going to work nicely for spring: that fluorescent pink jumper that looked so amazing in December with black leather trousers and a fur coat, for example, will look just as good come spring teamed with pale boyfriend jeans and new sandals.

- Secondly look for lighter weight fabrics. Chiffon and silk are always popular at Christmas because they're seen as luxury fabrics. But they're also so lightweight that they look great and glamorous worn on warm summer nights.

- Finally, think outside the box. Could that trophy jacket work for a summer wedding if you wear it with a brightly coloured dress? Will you wear coloured jeans in the summer as well as the winter? It's amazing how many items you'll find that overlap all the seasons, that you can wear again and again.

But back to my bargain jackets. It's not often you find such an amazing and versatile sale bargain that you could buy now and still be wearing in 6 months where the reductions are higher than 50%: if you live near a Matalan then my advice is to snap one up before they're all gone!

And if you're quick then the Matalan sale is available online, and you'll find the jacket on the site in the grey, green, and navy blue colours right now! Here's the link!

Boots sale: Where there is Soap there is Glory

Hi guys,
One of the sales I always check out is the Boots sale: straight after Christmas all of their gift sets are reduced by 50%. Later in the month the reduction will be increased to seventy percent, but the products available by that point are usually pretty limited: shoppers have already snapped up all the best stuff!
Photobucket
As well as picking up a few birthday gifts for family and friends, the thing I have my eyes peeled for are Soap and Glory sets. I really love the scent of their bath products and buy them regularly, full price or not. So getting them in the sale is a real treat! When I popped into my local Boots on the 27th I got the hand wash and hand lotion set for £5 (reduced from £10) and the travel miniatures set for £9 (reduced from £18) which I will be saving for our next holiday in February!
Photobucket
Other great brands and products I spotted were Charles Worthington hair sets, French Connection bath sets for men and women (complete with lovely wash bags) and even some gorgeous Jamie Oliver cookery sets. There were huge Champneys boxes full of products too - basically I could have spent a small fortune filling my bathroom with gorgeous lovely-smelling goodies!

Have you checked out the Boots sale yet? Are reduced toiletries on your sale shopping itinerary? And if so what have you picked up so far?

The January Sales are here! Simple tips for success....

Hi guys,
They're here! Christmas is over, and the part of the celebrations every girl who cares about fashion really gets excited about is upon us: the January sales. I don't really know why they call them the January sales, as technically they start at the end of December, but nonetheless, they're here!
Photobucket
I wrote a quick post of tips for January Sales shopping last year, and was simply going to link to that again for this January. But actually I realised I'd missed out on some great tips, and if you want to have sales success you have to be prepared. So I've written the list again! Here are my new and improved top tips to get what you want from the January sales:

1. Plan ahead! In the week before Christmas (leading up to the sales) when i'm shopping for my Christmas presents I'm also looking at the things I'd like to get for myself: If I see something I really like I even try it on, because believe me, trying things on just isn't feasible on the first days of the sale. That way I can run in, find it, and buy it as soon as the sale starts.

2. Set a budget. And then stick to it! I know it's easier said than done, but when you hit the sales it's easy to forget how much you're spending, and spend much more than you wanted to. When I'm going sales shopping I take out the amount I'm prepared to spend in cash before I hit the shops: that way, I know exactly what I'm spending as I go (it's so easy to lose track with cards) and when it's gone, it's gone!

3. Last year The Telegraph reported than one in ten people do their Christmas shopping in the January sales. Whilst I'm not condoning such bah humbug behaviour, I do do some of my present shopping for birthdays throughout the first half of the year (My nieces birthday is in January, and my sisters birthday is at the beginning of Febuary for example) in the January sales. It just makes good sense: you get more for your money, meaning people get better gifts!  Plan ahead for this like you would when shopping for Christmas: write a list of the people you're looking for presents for, a few ideas and all their vital statistics (sizes etc) to take with you to the shops.

4. Make a list of things you need, and more importantly, a list of things you DON'T need. I am a self confessed coat and jacket addict. I don't need any more: it would be a waste of money. But I really need new jeans. Having a piece of paper to shop with that spells out that I need jeans, knitwear, make up etc and I don't need jackets, coats or anything with sequins on it makes it much easier to stay motivated to only buy what I need.

5. Finally, don't give up! This is a tip I shared last year that's still just as relevant now. If you've got your heart set on something but it's sold out don't give up: just think outside the box. If you really wanted French Connection shoes but can't get them from French Connection, for example, try Sarenza or Zalando or any other website that sells big brand names. And for high street clothes, ASOS is a veritable gold mine of sale items that have sold out elsewhere: it's where I got that River Island dress I wanted last January that was sold out on their website!

Are you prepared for the January Sales? Do you have anything on your wish list that you're hoping to pick up? Or have you been too busy thinking about Christmas to prep for the bargain hunting afterwards?

It's not over 'til it's over.....

Hi guys,
Usually by now all of the sales are just about done and dusted. But this year, maybe because of the warmer than average weather and maybe because half of the country is flat broke, there are still a ton of bargains to be had. Some stores are advertising up to 70% off, and almost every high street store is offering further reductions. If you aren't in the flat broke half of the nation then hit the shops, because you're in for a treat! Here are my picks:
Photobucket
Metallic detail dress, Topshop, £40 (was £150)
Beige coat, Miss Selfridges, £30 (was £69)
Brogue ankle boots, Feaith @ Debenhams, £32.50 (was £65)
French connection bag, £64 (was £160)
Vintage apple ring, Accessorize, £1.80 (was £6)
Lanvin purse @ Harvey Nichols, £68 (was £170)
Marc by Marc mouse pumps @ Selfridges £149 (was £215)

Miss Selfridges has an amazing sale. I picked up this gorgeous leather (actually pleather) sleeved coat for just £30, and it's still available on their website. It looks so much better on than it does off - in a soft lightweight fabric and an amazing fit. I'll be showing it off soon!

As well as having up to 75% off all of their sale, all of French Connection's sale coats are now £89 or less. My tip would be to look for a classic style in a colour you love, so that you can buy and wear it now, but still wear and love it again next winter too: that way, you're actually saving money!

Have you had any amazing bargains from the January sales? Are their any other shops you'd recommend I check out?

Top tips for January Sales shopping

Photobucket

Hi guys,

Ahhh, it's that time of the year again! Not content with our Christmas consumerism, it's time to buy everything we didn't buy at Christmas, but at huge discounts. And use those Buy.com promotional codes before they expire! And who am I to argue with that?

In line with my money saving drive, I'm not hitting the sales in the mad way I usually do: instead I'm just looking for the perfect leather jacket at a huge discount (fingers crossed!!) But if you are looking to hit the sales with gusto, here are my top tips:

1. Make a wish list. Going into the sales without any idea of what you really want to buy means that you'll end up buying everything pretty thing you see, but probably don't need (and if you're anything like me then instantly regret it). Instead make a list of things you want and need. Make sure these are things you would buy at full price anyway, and fit in with your existing wardrobe. Remember that 50% off something you don't need it actually a waste of money!

3. Don't forget to look online, but don't expect it to be simple. Sure, you don't have to queue to try things on, or wait for the shops to open in the rain, but you still have to be fast and organised. Once you've found something you want to buy, if you don't get to the online checkout fast enough, several stores will remove the item from your basket if another customer wants to buy it (I'm thinking of you River Island!) So being speedy and methodical are key: having accounts set up with the companies you want to shop with will make the process even faster.

4. Finally, don't give up!

And that's it! Happy shopping!

The Sarenza.co.uk sale starts today!!

Hi guys,
Christmas isn't even upon us yet, but it's already time to start talking about the post-Christmas sales! The Sarenza sale started today, and I have to say, it's a cracker! I'm a self-confessed shoe addict, so it doesn't take much to make me think about buying shoes: and a discount of up to 50% ought to do it!!

I love the January Sales (any idea why we still call them that when they start in the middle of December?) From around October I stop buying myself anything and add everything I see that I love to a mental checklist, then try to find as much of it as I can in the sales: I just can't resist a discount! With that in mind, here are my picks of some of the best pieces from the Sarenza sale right now:
Photobucket
1. Jeffrey Campbell brogues, £46.50 (50% off)
2. Moschino heart brogues, £160.30 (30% off)
3. Jeffrey Campbell heels, £58 (50% off)
4. Dune leopard print heels, £66.50 (30% off)
5. Swedish Hasbeens boots, £188.30 (30% off)
6. French Connection boots, £99 (40% off)

If none of these take your fancy, there are literally hundreds of other shoes over on the site for you to check out, and a massive selection of amazing sale handbags too. One of my favourite things about being a Sarenza brand ambassador is being given the excuse to spend hours every month trawling through their website and indulging in a little fantasy shoe shopping. And with a little help from the sales and some Christmas money, I'm about to make those shoe fantasies a reality!

I actually think I am going to pick up those Moschino Cheap and Chic heart brogues. I admired them when they were full price but couldn't justify the expense, so the 30% off is the perfect reason to pick them up now!

January Sales 2011: More from River Island

Hi guys,
I know this is no surprise, but I just couldn't resist popping back in to River Island for another peek at the sales. I approached them with a different attitude this time though: instead of looking for stuff I could wear now (because there definitely isn't much of that in their sale) I decided to look for summer clothes I could wear for my honeymoon, as well as for the summer when the weather finally perks up a bit.

With this new shift in attitude (driven by my new found obsession with forward planning) I found plenty more dresses I wanted to add to my (admittedly rather large) collection:
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
From top to bottom the dresses were: green dress (£10) Spotty dress (£10) Grey smock (£15) Cream ruffled dress (£10) Black dress (£20) Nude lace dress (£10)

I picked up the first two dresses: the green ruffled mini dress and the nude and gold polka dot dress. I loved the gentle draping from the hips of the nude dress, and have never been able to resist mint green or ruffles! Everything else, in my opinion, looked pretty terrible. The black dress was the one I was most excited to get into the changing room, but it ended up looking the worst: it's always the way!

Have you guys had any sales bargains? Are there any sales I haven't checked out yet that you think have been fantastic? Share you're secrets, I need to hit the shops!

Love, Tor x

PS - I just had a funny thought! I show the Apple iPhone more in these blog posts than they do on their own website! Free advertising or what!?

January Sales 2011: Miss Selfridge and French Connection

Hi guys,
Another day, another visit to the sales! This time I popped to Miss Selfridges and French Connection to try on impractical party dresses that I don't need: my favourite impractical things to buy! I haven't been massively impressed by the sales so far, but I haven't hit any of the big department stores yet: i'm sure as soon as I do i'll be regaling you with tales of armfuls of lovely stuff bought (well, here's hoping!) Until then though, here's what I tried on in Miss Selfridges:
Photobucket
The nude dress had been reduced to £20, the metallic T-shirt had been reduced to £8. I loved the nude dress, especially the detailing around the shoulders and the ruffled capped sleeves. But boy, did it make me look top heavy! I ummed and ahhed over it for a little while, but decided it probably showed a little too much boob for me.
Photobucket
Like the magpie I am, I was attracted to this dress because it was shiny and sparkly. The sequins were gorgeous, and it was reduced from £100 to £45: bargain! But it isn't exactly flattering on my wobbly mince pie belly, so this one ended up back on the rack for somebody else to find and love!
Photobucket
I loved this dress from French Connection, which had been reduced from £190 to £50, and even came with a matching bag that was reduced to £25. However I was put off by my shopping partner (aka Mike) who pulled that face when I came out of the changing room (complete with slightly wrinkled nose) and put me right off!

January Sales 2011: Starting with River Island

Hi guys,
I hope you all had magnificent Christmases! I've just returned to London with a bump: noone to look after me and a distinct lack of nightly roast dinners (thanks mum!) Still, at least I can munch on Quality Streets whilst I write this and pretend i'm still allowed to be festive!

The first thing I did when I got back to London was pop to Brent Cross to check out the River Island sale: always one of my faves. I wasn't particularly impressed, but there were some highlights, and I found a stack of things I wanted to take into the changing rooms. Here are the bits I tried on:
Photobucket
Photobucket
I keep trying on these wet look/leather look leggings but they never look good: I think I just need to accept that my chunky legs don't need highlighting in that way. These ones were reduced to £12. I did like the bird print chiffon blouse though which would look great cinched in with a belt: reduced to £15. I also really liked the hanky hem grey summer dress below (also £15):
Photobucket
Photobucket
Everything was between 50-70% off, and I would say definitely worth a look if you need shoes or winter boots (some big discounts to be had) but the clothes in the Brent Cross branch at least weren't that impressive. And boy was it busy! The queues for the changing room were nothing compared to the queues to pay. I left empty handed.

By the time i'd exhausted the RI sale I was exhausted myself, and came home, leaving the other sales for later in the week: they're not going anywhere and I don't really need anything, so I don't need to tire myself out chasing through the crowds for them this year! Have you bought anything from the sales this year? Are there any shops I really should check out?

If you want to bag a bargain then head to the River Island sale

....but if you do then I think you'll have to be quick! Yesterday online and today in store, you can take an extra 50% off ALL the sale stock in River Island. And there are plenty of bargains to be had! I was really surpised by how much variety of stock was still left in store, and in a full range of sizes too.

I've only just got back from Brent Cross and can't be bothered to try everything on (again!) and take photos, so here is what I got laid out flat, to give you an idea of what's available:
Silky embellished vest. Was £34.99, sale price £10. Today price: £5Snake print boyfriend blazer. Was £54.99, sale price £10. Today price: £5
Frilly cut out Dress. Was £44.99, sale price £20, today price: £10
Butterfly pattern ankle socks. (They made me think of Alice in Wonderland!)Was £3.99, sale price £1.50. Today price: 75p
And this is my favourite piece of all, and the biggest bargain too. Buttery soft stud detail leather jacket. Was £160, sale price £75. Today price: £37.50.

There is alot more available instore than online, although if you go to Brent Cross you may find the staff are rude to you: my sister wanted to buy a pair of trousers (as well as hundreds of other things) and everything except them came up at half the lowest price. When asked why they weren't too (I suspect they just hadnt programmed the till properly) she was spoken to so rudely ("I wont be changing my views for you, little madam" were the exact words) that she left everything and walked out of the shop. I bet they're waiting on the edge of their seats for my angry letter!

Although I am guilty of impulse-buying things I don't really need (the snake blazer and ankle socks for example) I think it's important to use the sales to your advantage and only buy things that fill a gap in your wardrobe. I've been snapping up cute tops to wear with jeans, having invested in my first pair for years last month and have been looking for the perfect leather jacket for a while: I have a "pleather" one but it feels horrible, both to touch and against the skin. This one is soft as butter, flattering and fabulous: it was love at first sight!

And with that the shopping crew (my boyfriend, sister and I) shook hands and decided that I now have everything I need, and my shopping ban can begin. It's going to be really hard and I will have to lay down some proper rules and need lots of support but i'm determined to do it. (I make it sound like I have a drug addiction!) More on the shopping ban on Monday.

Sale review: Topshop

I've come to the table a little late with the sales this year, what with moving house and spending Christmas in deepest darkest Lincolnshire. I'm sure this means i've missed a lot of the best deals in the sales and all the good stuff will be sold out. The bonus of this, however, is that everything has gone even cheaper in the past couple of days, so there are more bargains to be had!!

I walked past Topshop on my lunchbreak today, and couldn't resist a little peak inside to see what they had on the sale racks. There is always considerably more available in a size 10 than there seems to be in a size 14 (I think this is true of London stores in a way it isn't in the regions) but nonetheless, here is the best of what was available:

I love the haunted house top and the stripey dress looked much better in "real life" than I managed to capture in a photograph. The first cardigan is a little too masculine for my tastes and the second cardigan just didn't seem to fit very well!

But my favourite piece of them all was this one, which was sadly too small for me to try on. It's very very heavy and covered in sequins with sharp shoulders and double zip details. It is an absolute bargain at £40, having previously been £150.

Love is this jacket! It's also worth noting that all of the feather-fur jackets and coats I spent the back end of last year lusting after have been reduced to £40. It took more will power than you can imagine not to buy one, but I definitely don't need a new jacket. If you're in the market for one though, it is definitely a good place to look!

Sales review: Miss Selfridge

Like all of the sales there are lots of sparkles and party dresses available in the Miss Selfridge sale. However unless I have a really important event coming up I usually avoid these like the plague: if you're honest you won't want to wear this seasons dresses next Christmas, and you probably have enough party frocks in your wardrobe (I know I do!)
So in the Miss Selfridge sale I decided to ignore the party frocks and focus on practical things I might actually need, with varying degrees of success:
The good
I love this little polka dot jacket, a bargain for £12. Its also a good kind of piece to buy in the sales at this time of year because it can be worn like a cardigan now and as a jacket come Spring/Summer, when polka dots will still be in vogue. This top is another example of something you can wear now that will still be of use in the summer; that's generally what I try to look for in my sale items, so i'm getting as much wear from them as possible

The not-so-good
Check out the mince pie belly! yuck! These 2 jumpers are perfect examples of on the hanger it looked pretty good - on the body not so much! They just didn't flatter my figure! The material of both was lovely though, and I do have to point out that they were a bargain at £10 each!

My first sale of the season is done, and it's only left me thirsty for more! Watch this space!

The Isabella Oliver end of season sale...

....And so it begins! The Isabella Oliver sale starts tomorrow, and there will be massive bargains to be had, as long as you're quick!!
.
Obviously there are so many sales starting today I can barely mention them all. I will be hitting the high street and reporting back on the best bargains. Let me know what you find too - it's always good to know what people are picking up and it always amazes me how much prices on the high street can differ depending on your location! As usual, let me know if there are any particular sales you want me to review, however I might not be able to do as many shops as I usually do: unfortunately the bf and I are moving house in 2 days and that will be eating up a lot of my time. I will do my best though!
.
Oh, and because I was distracted by my military-style sales chat I forgot to say: I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

Online sales.... it begins!

Without meaning to sound like an octogenarian, the sales seem to start earlier and earlier each year, don't they? The truly savvy (and with nerves of steel!) could save a fortune if they waited until a couple of days before Christmas to do their shopping - I think it would give me a nervous break down though!

If you haven't done your Christmas shopping, and you don't feel like fighting the masses you could do your shopping online, and there's a massive selection of online pre-Christmas sales to choose from:
  • The official my wardrobe sale starts on 23rd December. All products currently marked with a Snowflake will go into sale with a 30% off and then the discounts will escalate as time goes by.

  • The style compare sale starts on Boxing day (so not quite in time for Christmas!) allowing you to browse the sales from dozen of stores all in one place.

  • New Look currently has a fashion sale on with half price party wear; I particularly like the sequinned blazer which is now half price at £20 and would be perfect for Christmas day.

  • Starting yesterday, Evans has a half price sale on shoes, lingerie and accessories: this includes their boots, so perfect for those with a slightly larger calf.

I already have all my Christmas shopping, and all my outfits planned for over the festive season, so I don't need to do any shopping until January (when I will be finishing perfecting my capsule wardrobe) but i'm sure there are some great deals to be had if you're still looking!

Boots boots boots boots boots!!

Never has my sales advice been more ardent; if you love/like/know someone who likes cosmetics, get to Boots immediately. If you love the illustrations of Daisy de Villeneuve, run. Boots christmas gift range (which of course isnt at all Christmasy) just dropped from being 50% off all stock to 75% off all stock. The woman in front of me had so much stuff she couldnt carry it all. It was fantastically funny watching her waddle out laden with 7 giant sacks of goodies. There really are some bargains to be had:
Daisy de Villeneuve make up brush and rool set. Was £15. I paid £3.67.

Daisy de Villeneuve filled vanity case with mirror. Was £20.00. I paid £3.50.

Daisy de Villeneuve compact mirror. Was £5.00. I paid £1.22

Daisy de Villeneuve (are you sensing a pattern?) blusher brush. Was £8. I paid £1.95

John Frieda hair sets (blonde and brunette available) Was £10. I paid £2.44

Ruby and Millie bright eyes compact. Was £15.00. I paid £3.67

Tony and Guy make up bag filled with shampoo conditioner heat protection spray and straightening balm. Was £12. I paid £2.93
.
This whole post feels a little salesy, but its soo exciting! I brought as much as i could carry back into the office respectably after a slightly longer than regulation lunch hour, but tomorrow I'll be back for more. When do I get the chance to own so much stuff that I want but don't need, and therefore usually relagate to the realms of "stuff I cant afford?"The answer is never! But boy, am I going to make up for it now....
