LFW approaches: Vauxhall Fashion Scout merit award winner announced

The buzz has begun and London Fashion Week is officially approaching as Georgian born David Koma is announced as Vauxhall Fashion Scout's Merit Award winner. In it's second season, the Award offers the best new fashion designer the opportunity of a sponsored stand-alone show at Vauxhall Fashion Scout’s catwalk during London Fashion Week.
.
David Koma graduated in March 2009 with distinction from Central Saint Martin, and his collection immediately grabbed the attention of buyers and media. David was also presented with the prestigious Harrods’ Design Award (previously won by Christopher Kane) which led to boutique Browns Focus stocking the collection. So of course, I decided to check him out:
Seriously sexy or what!?
Can we please note that on the last dress the nipples look like eyes and the skirt detail like a massive gaping mouth. Given that these pics are from last years AW collections, it stands to reason that there is a massive emphasis on the shoulders and black dominated. I love the sexy and futuristic shapes; now that Koma has won the Merit award and will definitely be showing this season, I am excited to see the new collection!
.
Vauxhall Fashion Scout's off-catwalk shows have become a massive part of London Fashion Week; this September will be their seventh season.
.
Love, Tor x
