Jamie London Competition: And The Winner Is.....

Hi guys,
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter and gorged yourself on chocolate! I didn't get a single chocolate egg (sob!) but I've spent most of the day 'sharing' Wilbur's chocolate eggs instead, so i've still managed to give myself a chocolate tummy ache: where there's a will there's a way!
photo jamielondon1_zps6486e6a7.jpgNow for the fun part: choosing the winner of my Jamie London bracelet give away. I used a random number generator, and the number that was chosen was number.....1! That's 'daisychain' who wrote that she would choose to wear the bracelet with something girly and pastel. I've been wearing my bracelet all weekend and I love it, so I hope you like it as much as I do! You'll be receiving an email from me shortly.

If you didn't win but you'd still like one of these bracelets for yourself then they're available over on the Jamie London website for £35, complete with two charms of your choice. I'm considering buying a couple of extra bracelets with different charms so that I can stack them together for a summery boho look.

Anyway, I hope you've all had a great Easter weekend! There'll be another competition coming up at the beginning of next month, so keep checking back for details.

Havaianas competition: And the winner is....

Hi guys,
You may remember that I have been participating in a great campaign with Havaianas where I created a video showing how I would style their sandals, then invited you to enter a competition showing me how you would style the sandals for a gorgeous summertime look.

Well, the competition has closed, so if you entered it's time for your excitement to reach fever pitch - because it's time to announce the winner! Thank you so much to all of you guys who submitted your fantastic entries, but sadly there can only be one!

I am very jealous of the winner who will receive a blog post dedicated to their look on the Havaianas blog, see their look on the Havaianas Facebook page, and their choice of three pairs of sandals from the Havaianas store! Here's the winning look:
Photobucket
And the winner, as chosen by the Havaianas team,  is....LucyB. Congratulations to Lucy, who will have an email from me waiting in her inbox telling her how to claim her prize! I can't wait to see which amazing sandals she'll choose!

If you're looking for a little sandal inspiration, I can heartily recommend the Freedom sandals in black: my favourite pair of the pairs I tried out (And coincidentally, also the pair featured in the winning mood board shown above)! I took the red versions with me to Venice and not only wore them around the pool, I also wore them sightseeing with my sundresses because they were so comfortable!

Thanks again for all your entries, and if you weren't the lucky winner then don't worry - there's another fantastic competition coming up soon!

Love Tor xx

Competition Winner AND Clothing at Tesco Press Day

Hi guys,
Well, first things first: drumroll please, it's time to announce the winner of my faith shoes competition, which I ran for an extra day because of the problems with blogger last week. The winner of those two gorgeous pairs of Faith shoes is........EMMA! I chose Emma because she wants to wear them to her best friends wedding: and you know i'm a sucker for weddings right now. Congratulations!!

Secondly, last week I went to the Clothing at Tesco press day and press show. I was obsessed with almost every coat I saw (its an addiction) and I couldn't believe how good they looked considering they only cost between £40-50. It was a really nice looking collection, especially for the money, and all of next seasons key trends were covered. Here's just a sneaky peak of some of the looks:

Colourwise, it was all very autumnal, and similar to last Autumn/Winter (good news if you aren't planning on doing much shopping this winter!) The seventies trend is still around, but has evolved from hippie to preppy: think bright denim, shirts with collars, and knitted jumpers. And I was glad to see that peach and cinamon were still popular: they're my current obsessions!

And the winner is.... (Drum roll please)....

Hi guys,
Well, the time has come to announce the winner of my Brand Alley competition. I couldn't believe how many of you entered, or how close some of your guesses were!
Photobucket
So now to reveal the RRP of my £100 spend: The D&G shoes were 710 euros (see label above for evidence) which I have converted to £600.06p, using today's rates. The umbrella rrp'ed at £35 and the Clinique exfoiliator rrp'ed at £16.50. That means that for less than £100, the grand RRP total of my shopping trip was £651.56p

....Which means the winner is....EmmaBarron, with a crazily close guess of £654!! Congratulations! Emma: drop me an email here so that I pass your email address to Brand Alley, who will sort out your voucher!

I, for one, couldn't believe how high the rrp of those shoes were: I was sure they would throw you off the scent, but you clever folks obviously know your shoes!

I've got more competitions coming over the next couple of weeks, so if you didn't win today, better luck next time!

Sarenza competition: And the winner is....

The Sarenza team have shortlisted the finalists for the £60 voucher giveaway, and it's time for me to pick a winner. It was a tough decision, as there were lots of lovely ladies who genuinely deserved new shoes! The finalists (and their comments) were:

Katherine...
There once was a time (i.e. last year!) when I was so broke that I had to return a pair of shoes so that I could buy groceries at Sainsburys! They looked a lot like these gorgeous ones: http://www.sarenza.co.uk/mine-de-rien-rosal-s756555-p0000024537
Now I am in a better place, found a great job and am slowly saving for bigger and better things. I took a photo of the shoes I returned, because I loved them THAT much! To be able to use the voucher towards buying these shoes would be like redemption for hard work.
And you know what the sad thing is? The shoes I returned were from Primark! Yes, I was so broke I needed to recover that whopping £15!
---
Louise...
I would love to win as Sarenza send me emails daily, tempting me with their gorgeous shoes that I just can't afford at the moment! But boy, do I love their shoes!!
---

Charlotte ...
I don't often get the chance to buy myself new shoes, lack of pennies. But since the hard work to lose weight is paying off, a treat in the form of shoes wouldn't go a miss :).
X
---
Christina Sanders...
Wow, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to win. I have had to spend every penny I have on trying to get my hair from red back to blond and now I have nothing left for clothes or shoes!
---
MissMalibu...
I have just started my first proper job in a fashion house as a design assistant and I don't get paid for a month and therefore cannot afford to buy any new shoes. I am the fashion tramp! I would put this voucher to bloody good use! :)

And the winner is...MissMalibu! I remember starting my first job and the awful "do I have enough bus fare to get to work" moments that came with it....hopefully new shoes will get you through to your first payday, and ensure you have the best dressed feet in the office! Drop me a line with your email in it, and the Sarenza team can get your voucher off to you. It must be Fabfrocks shoe week, as I have another post going up this evening, where I will be showing off my three new pairs of shoes! Yum, and yay!

Tesco competition: And the winner is....

Firstly, i'd like to say thank you to everyone who commented or emailed me your entries: who knew you were all such a creative lot!? I was massively impressed with how much stuff you guys could buy for £30: you're bigger bargain hunters than me! However, there can only be one winner, and that winner is a lady who sent me not one, but three gorgeous outfit options:
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Congratulations to Erin Caldwell! I couldn't believe how much effort you made, and how great every single one of your outfits were!

Watch this space for another competition; this time to win a voucher for £60 to spend at Sarenza shoes! (I know I said i'd post this yesterday, but a minor crisis means I won't be able to get it online until this afternoon!)

And the winner is.....

Photobucket
Using the old tried and tested names out of a hat method, the winner of the Polaroid sunglasses competition is commenter number 14; that's Louise! I don't have any contact details for you Louise, so drop me an email with your address so I can pop your gorgeous sunnies into the post. And congratulations! I haven't taken mine off all week!

In other news, sorry for my rubbish posting record over the past week, however I am working on a post reviewing some of the lovely new summer collection from Simply Be, which I will be posting tonight. After that I promise my usual daily posting routine will resume (My mum emailed me this morning because she was worried about the lack of posting - definitely time to get back to work!)

I hope you're all having a lovely week and enjoying the gorgeous sunshine!

An expo, Lady Gaga, and the competition winner

Hey guys,
First we'll do the winner of the Reebok Easytone competition: I know I promised you a hat, but I opted for a rattly tin (I liked the metallic sound it made when i shook it) Plus i'm not wearing a hat today!
Photobucket
So the winner is (tin rattle please...) Elizabeth. Congratulations! Get in touch and give me your email address so that I can forward the details to Reebok who will give you access to the EasyTone community where you can select your prize! Due to the time constraints of starting the trial, if you don't get in touch by Sunday, I will draw a new winner!

I'm always late to the table with updates about fashion goings on (it's a good job you don't come here for breaking news!) but The Fashion Fusion Expo is happening today and tomorrow at the Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane. There will be workshops, experts, and a load of exhibitors specialising in in clothing, accessories, beauty, art and much more! I've been invited down on Saturday, and as usual i'd love to meet some of you guys there.
So you know a bit more about it, here is the blurb on the site: "In a mix of current collections, samples and past seasons’ stock, this exhibition of both young designers and high street favourites offers a unique opportunity to snap up some of the hottest bargains. Discover a diverse mix of styles, cultures and traditional dress. Watch catwalk shows for ideas on dressing down and dressing up. Clothing, shoes, accessories and one-off pieces you won’t find anywhere else."

For a fashion spectacle far greater than any other I can provide today, check out the new Gaga/Beyonce video for Telephone. It was released today and it is amazing: i've already watched it three times! Particular fashion notes are the smoking cigarette sunglasses, the diet coke can hairrollers, and Beyonces fierce rolled fringe (VV Brown -style) And I could talk about Gaga's theatrical make up all day long - I always love it!

It's a good song too - i'm bopping around at my desk and singing fairly (read: very) loudly as I type!
Have a great Friday guys!
