Hitting the gym in Adidas by Stella McCartney

Hi guys,
Now that Wilbur is creeping up to six months old, I've decided that it's time to reclaim my body and do something about this wobbly mummy tummy. So yesterday I joined the gym. I already swim there once a week, so it wasn't too big a leap to make the commitment to hit the gym and some classes as well. But it feels like I'm doing something positive (one small step, and all that) and I have my induction next Thursday.

Wanting to wear a bikini on the beach this summer without my tummy wobbling over the top of it is my main motivation. And to further motivate myself, I've decided I need a brand new gym bag full of brand new kit. Enter a spot of virtual shopping. Because everyone knows there is no greater motivator than hitting the shops. And when I think of fashionable gym wear, I immediately think of the Stella McCartney range for Adidas. Here is my current lust-list from the brand: photo stellaadidas_zps2c9c7be8.png Diorite trainers, £140
Magic yellow studio performance tank, £65
Ready-to-dance bag, £90
Three quarter printed tights, £52
Essentials zip hoodie, £95

I'm not in the market for a new pair of trainers (I have a Reebok pair that I have hardly worn) but if I were, I would definitely have those neon ones: perfectly on trend! I also love that peach and grey marl hoodie: a combination of my two favourite colours (apart from black, of course!)

What do you wear when you work out? And do you have any work out clothes that you'd recommend? I'd love to hear your recommendations!!

Obligatory Olympics fashion post - they're here!

Hi guys,
Tomorrow I fly off to Venice and will therefore be completely missing the first week of the Olympics. But that doesn't mean that, like nearly everyone else in the country, I am not very excited to see the Opening Ceremony tonight. Because I am!

But the Olympics isn't just the greatest sports event on earth; it's also a great big fashion spectacle. Stella McCartney has designed the Team GB kit. Ralph Lauren waved the flag for the American teams. And Giorgio Armani created the Italian teams uniforms. But what about us? Of course you can buy the Stella McCartney pieces, but if you're not really the sport type there have to be some options for showing your patriotism during the Olympics, and looking stylish at the same time. Well, here are some of the ideas I've come up with:
Photobucket
Union jack lips clutch, Lulu Guinness, £475
London soldiers print skirt, Cath Kidston, £35
Union jack holdall, Accessorize, £40
Union jack teacup keyring, Accessorize, £5
Ashish I love Sports sweater, Topshop, £50
Union Jack floral top, Next, £16
Union Jack dessert boots, Clarks, £53
Vivienne Westwood armour ring, Asos, £185

Am you excited about the approaching Olympics? Will you be flying the flag and donning your red, white, and blue? Or are you a little bit fed up of all the hype? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Competition: Let Reebok help you "tone those buns"

My keep-fit regime is still going well, and although i've only lost a few pounds, i'm slowly starting to notice the difference. To intensify the process, at the end of the month I will be starting a trial of the new Reebok Easytone trainers. According to Reebok, Easytone trainers generate up to 28% more bum muscle activation compared to ordinary trainers whilst generating more than 11% more muscle activation in the calf muscles and hamstring. And apparently they help tone your bum and legs even when your not in the gym - sound too good to be true?? I thought so too, so there's only one way to find out!
Once mine arrive I plan on using them three times a week and seeing what difference they make! I am definitely not a trainer wearing in my everyday life, but I think it might even be worth wearing them on my walk to work so my muscles can work harder doing my normal everyday tasks.

So the prize is the opportunity to take part in the trial and receive a pair of Reebok Easytone trainers and a bag full of Reebok training kit! You'll be given a code to log onto the Easytone trial community where you will be able to choose the style/colour and size of your trainers and kit. So your look is entirely up to you.

All you have to do is leave a comment and i'll use my numbers in a comedy hat technique to choose a winner on Friday: I know it's not much time, so you'll have to get in quick!
.
Get entering, and good luck!!
Love, Tor xx
PS - Sadly this competition is only open to UK readers. I'll have something for my worldwide friends coming up soon though!
