Hi guys,
I wrote about fashion's renewed love affair with denim and all things Seventies just last week, so when the Biba S/S11 lookbook landed in my inbox it definitely resonated with me. The original Biba was the brand of the Seventies, so this season is the time to reinvestigate Biba again, if the Seventies trend is what you're looking for when the weather warms up.
The spring/summer collection features beautiful prints on long sleeved dresses and blouses, high-waisted, flared jeans, printed jumpsuits, maxi dresses and skirts, and slouchy metallic knits. I love the vibrant purple and turquoise print of the very bottom dress: stunning!
The new campaign, shot by photographer Ellen Von Unwerth, features model Daisy Lowe (who is the face of the brand again this season) She is so fresh faced and stunningly beautiful that it makes me feel quite jealous!
I love this look, and will definitely be experimenting with the Seventies trend this season. However I think I will be doing it in a darker way, with more of a rock chick edge. Think gold wedges and stacks of gold bangles with floppy black hats, black maxi dresses, or wide black jeans. It's definitely time for me to check out the Biba @ House of Fraser collection, although I am aware I will look slightly chubbier and blonder than in the pictures shown above!!
Love, Tor xx

I'm totally NOT a seventies girl (I like my maxis more 90s grunge) but I love this campaign just because I love Daisy Lowe so much. WHY don't I look like that?
