McQueen is dead. Long live McQueen

It's hard to write something about somebody you've never met, and I don't want to say too much. This is a difficult time for the friends and family you leave behind, and it can't be any easier with the whole world watching: there's a time and a place for fashion reviews and it probably isn't now.

I've chosen the picture of the infamous armadillo shoe from the last collection because to me this sums up everything McQueen had done so far and everything we loved him for: breath taking, crazy, daring, beautiful, strangely delicate and feminine. I could've chosen a hundred catwalk pictures. I will use the word genius.
